Soldier given posthumous award

Lieutenant Colonel Rupert Thorneloe, 39, of Kirtlington, has been awarded the Queen's Commendation for Valuable Service posthumously.
Lt Col Thorneloe MBE, former commanding officer of 1st Battalion the Welsh Guards, was killed in Afghanistan last July.
